When women meet anywhere, more good things always happen
1. júna 2023Mother centers are sometimes needlessly modest. They don’t talk about themselves, how much they change the lives of the communities around them, how much they do that other organizations in the towns and villages where they operate often don’t know. And so we held a series of meetings in different cities. We sat in a circle – women from various non-governmental organizations, as well as independent activists from Sečovce, Rožňava, Senec, Žilina, Ružomberok, Banská Bystrica and Bratislava – and shared the important things from our work. We looked for ways to come together and connect in activities that improve the lives of adults and children alike. This way, subtly, alliances are born and ideas come.
These round tables were implemented as part of the “Women in The Community – from charity to equal work in communities” project, which is supported by the Domestic and Gender-Based Violence Programme financed by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014 – 2021 and the state budget of the Slovak Republic.
